TAIPEI POP MUSIC CENTER

The intent of this project is to create an institutional building for a culture that thrives outside of the institution.  A balance is achieved by creating a connection between buildings to satisfy the demands of the center while contrasting it with the landscape that avoids regulation. It is here that one experiences the natural, human, and organic moments that truly create culture through conversation and interaction. Through this tenuous relationship between the two spaces, something new may emerge in a manner similar to a living laboratory.
