THE RURAL CITY

Marfa, Texas: a rural town in the Chihuahuan Desert is a 5-hour drive from the contemporary notion of what defines a city -population density.  Our intention is to develop an urban framework that will allow for Marfa to transform from a creative community into a new paradigm for creative and productive Urbanization– a Rural City. It will be as progressive and radical as the artists and intellectuals who originally transformed the desolate railroad refueling point.
